HMSI try to get a market share by a series of new models launches

Honda motorcycle and scooter India (HMSI) are trying to increase the market share in the country’s two -wheeler sector, a company official said.The company has launched two new motorcycles in 100 CCs and 125 CC sections in the Indian market. The current share of HMSI in the country’s two -wheeler sector is 5 per cent, official SAID said.

HMSI Director (Sales and Marketing) Yogesh Mathur said, “The company is a leading player in the two -wheeler division in India with 28 per cent market. We go to the goal to increase the market with new launch in the coming days.”

The Honda Motor Company in Japan produces motorcycles and scooters in the country on the facilities of India.

HMSI has four models of 100 CC, 110 CC, 125 CC, 160 CC and 200 CC divisions and scooter divisions in India.


Mathur said that in July and August, HMSS emerged as a market leader in motorcycles and scooter departments in the country. He said the company wants to maintain this trend in the future. “Assistant companies in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam control the share of the two -wheeler in the two -wheelers in these countries.

Mathur said that HMSI contributes to exports from 10 percent revenue.

HMSI launched an electric scooter in India last year.

Mathur said that the sale of electric scooters in India is very low. Electric scooters are currently in the market in only five percent to six percent market, while the balance market is in the ICE (internal combustion engine), he said.
